JERUSALEM, March 22 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said here Thursday that Iran should to be prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Netanyahu made the remarks when he met with the visiting Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, stressing nowadays Iran threatens not only the Middle East but the entire world.

During the meeting, the two sides praised the bilateral relations and discussed advancing bilateral cooperation in technology, innovation and trade.

Netanyahu said the two sides have flourishing relations and have been working in many ways to cement and develop in all fields.

President Radev visited the cyber center in south Israeli Be'er Sheva on Wednesday, where Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD) Director Yigal Unna gave a briefing on the INCD, including its responsibilities and coordination with other cyber bodies in Israel, the cyber threats and the main efforts in the field.

Israel is seizing the future, not only in matters of cyber security but in all matters of technology that will change our lives, said Netanyahu.

Israel is at the forefront of all this scientific research and technological know-how, he said. "We're eager to share it with our friends."

"We are deeply interested to take the Israeli example to build a society that is both socially engaged and integrated," said Radev. "I mean basically the hi-tech, the cyber security, science and education."

The president said he was also interested in diversification of resources. "Another good opportunity is natural gas import and transmission through Bulgaria," said Radev.

In addition, he emphasized the cooperation with Israel in the efforts of fighting terrorism.

"We have good cooperation in the field of fight against terror, and I would like to stress the important support we received from Israel after the terror act in Sarafovo in 2012," said Radev.

Radev noted that the tense situation in the world requires security communities to cooperate with each other, and also the well-established ties in the sphere of defense between the two sides.
