ACCRA, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Eight people were killed and five others injured in a car crash in southern Ghana early Saturday, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said.
The crash occurred at 3:50 a.m. local time (0350 GMT) on the Cape Coast-Accra highway, involving a Mercedes-Benz and a Hino truck, said Abdul Wasiu Hudu, regional public relations officer of the GNFS.
Hudu said the road has been cleared and reopened to traffic, while investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash. ■
