KUNMING, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- China has been actively contributing to the global intellectual landscape through its public intellectual goods, characterized by openness and inclusivity, according to a think tank report released on Saturday.
The report, titled "Answering the Questions of Our Time: The Global Significance and Practical Value of China's Public Intellectual Products," was released by Xinhua Institute, a think tank affiliated with Xinhua News Agency.
China's intellectual contributions draw on the finest achievements of human wisdom worldwide, fostering dialogue and mutual learning among nations and civilizations, according to the report.
They are not "confrontational" or "exclusive," do not treat its own experience as the sole benchmark, and advocate for "letting cultural exchanges transcend estrangement, mutual learning transcend clashes, and coexistence transcend feelings of superiority."
China does not regard itself as the sole provider of ideas, but instead adheres to the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits, encouraging all nations to contribute their wisdom and expertise, according to the report.
The report also highlighted China's advocacy for the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and the Global Security Initiative, both of which are in alignment with the United Nations' agenda.
China established the "Group of Friends of the GDI," which now comprises over 80 member countries. ■
