BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Yi Huiman, deputy director of the Committee of Economy of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, is under disciplinary and supervisory investigation, an official statement said Saturday.
Yi, former chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), is being investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China and the National Supervisory Commission (NSC) for suspected severe violations of disciplines and laws, the CCDI and NSC statement said.
Yi was removed from the post of CSRC chairman in February 2024. ■
